The name MiFID comes from the abbreviation Markets in Financial Instruments Directive. The concept MIFID consists of the provisions of two directives and the regulation EU establishing a single legal framework for the services provided by investment firms and credit institutions in the 27 EU Member States as well as in Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein.
The aim of the aforementioned European legislation is to provide a sufficient level of investor protection, to make the financial sector more competitive, to ensure the transparency of investment firms, and to introduce uniform regulations for financial services in the territory of the abovementioned European Economic Area.

- transparency and wider range of provided information, including financial instruments and investment risk;
- developing, implementing and informing Clients about the best execution policy or conflict of interest management policy.
